QuEChERS 는 식품, 농산물 및 환경 시료 내의 농약 잔류물, 동물용 의약품, 마이코톡신 및 기타 오염물질을 검출하기 위해 사용되는 시료 전처리 방법입니다. 이 명칭은 Quick(신속한), Easy(간편한), Cheap(경제적인), Effective(효율적인), Rugged(견고한), Safe(안전한)의 약자로, 기존 추출 기법 대비 QuEChERS 방법의 핵심적인 장점을 나타냅니다. QuEChERS는 2003년 미국 농무부(USDA)의 Anastassiades, Lehotay, Stajnbaher 및 Schenck에 의해 소개된 이후, 현재 전 세계 잔류물 분석 실험실에서 가장 널리 사용되는 시료 전처리 방법으로 자리잡았습니다. UCT 는 QuEChERS 제품을 최초로 상용화한 기업이며, 현재까지도 ChloroFiltr® 및 LipiFiltr®와 같은 독자적인 흡착제(Sorbent) 기술을 통해 해당 분야를 선도하고 있습니다.
